“Unpatriotic Angry Birds” – Buhari’s Former Aide Calls on DSS to Arrest Peter Obi for Instigation of Violence

Lauretta Onochie, the former chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and a former presidential media aide, has called for the arrest of Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in the 2023 general election.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Onochie claims that Obi has been actively inciting violence among youths following his defeat in the 2023 presidential election.

Recall that Bola Ahmed Tinubu was declared the winner of the election after polling 8,794,726 votes. Atiku Abubakar of the PDP came second in the February 25th election with a total of 6,984,520 votes. Meanwhile, Peter Obi of the Labour Party came third in the election with a total of 6,101,533 votes.

Onochie directed her plea to both the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigeria Police, urging them to take immediate action against the former Anambra State Governor.

She posted a video of Peter Obi on her X (formerly Twitter) account, accusing him and his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, of fanning the flames of violence and attempting to paralyze the nation through labor unions’ strikes.

Onochie further accused Peter Obi of leading a group of what she referred to as ‘brainwashed’ followers in an attempt to forcibly change the government, solely for his own benefit and ambitions. She expressed her concerns about a man who, despite coming in third place in the presidential race, seeks to be declared the winner at any cost.

In her own words: “I think it’s high time he was pulled in to answer a few questions. Nigerians want to know why Peter Obi is this desperate. Pull him in; heavens will not fall. God bless Nigeria.”
