The Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo presided over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday morning at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Among those physically present in the meeting are: Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture; Abubakar Malami, Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, amid other government officials.
POLITICS NIGERIA recalls that at the last FEC meeting on 22 September, the Council approved the sum of N836 million for the establishment of oxygen production plants for COVID-19 pandemic intervention across Nigeria.
Briefing State House reporters, Minister Mohammed said the approval of the upward review followed a memo presented by the Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire to the council.
“The Minister of Health also presented a memo seeking for an upward review for the emergency supply, installation and maintenance of the 38 oxygen plants all over the country,” Mohammed had said.
