WATCH: Again, Tinubu goofs, says Omo-Agege will be ‘Niger Delta’ State Governor

The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress ((APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has yet again committed another blunder.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that speaking on Friday in Gbaramatu community in Warri South-West Local Government Area (LGA) of Delta State, during a campaign rally, Tinubu wrongly described the governorship candidate of Delta State for the 2023 election, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, as contesting for the position of ‘Niger Delta’ State governor. Omo-Agege is currently the Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate.

“I equally recognise today the Deputy-Senate president currently, and he will be the governor of Niger Delta State,” Tinubu said as his allies clapped.

Following the error, a chieftain of the APC sharing the stage with the presidential hopeful quickly corrected him, saying “Delta State”.

This newspaper reports that concerns have been raised over the 70-year-old’s health and fitness, but the former Lagos State governor has declared that he is not sick but hale and hearty, saying it often baffles him when the opposition kept insisting that he is sick or question his mental capacity.
