Houses of Boko Haram terrorist leaders in Borno State have destroyed by the fighter jets, the Nigerian Military has said.
In a statement sent to POLITICS NIGERIA on Wednesday by the spokesman of the Nigerian Military, Major General John Enenche, the operation was done on Tuesday. April 21, 2020.
Enenche said the attacks were dole out by the Air Task Force of Operation Lafiya Dole conducted the attacks. He added that compounds housing the insurgents were located at Bulawa in Sambisa Forest.
“The airstrikes were carried on April 21, 2020, based on credible human intelligence reports and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance missions that led to the identification of the target houses within the settlement.
“The Air Task Force dispatched fighter jets to take out the compounds scored accurate hits in the target area, leading to the destruction of some of the structures as well as the neutralisation of some of the terrorists occupying the compounds,” the statement said.
