The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has said that N113.8 million was spent on securing the 2025 2025 Unified Tertiary and Matriculation Examination on July 12.

The board’s 2025 UTME expenditures showed that the funds were spent on supervising the examinations in seven different countries worldwide.

The countries – Buea, Cameroon; Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; London, United Kingdom; Johannesburg, South Africa, Lome, Togo; Cotonou, Benin Republic and Accra, Ghana – participated in the UTME on July 12.

According to the examination board, the international UTME improved the global visibility of the nation’s tertiary institutions.

It said the examination also served as an encouragement for international students across the globe to enrol in the UTME and promoted Nigeria’s education system.

JAMB board also announced that some international students were admitted as an avenue for recognising exceptional institutions through the NATAP M-Award

“This initiative has successfully attracted international students to Nigerian universities.

“Furthermore, JAMB has incorporated the number of foreign students admitted by an institution as a criterion for the NATAP M-Award, recognising institutions that excel in international student recruitment,” the board said.
