“We Will Occupy the Gov’t House” – Rivers Youths Dare Fubara over Tinubu’s Resolution [VIDEO]

Hundreds of Rivers State youths, students, civil society groups, labour unions, and even members of the Hausa community, on Friday morning, stormed the Government House in Port Harcourt to show solidarity with Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

They sent messages to the governor, saying any attempt to recall resigned commissioners, revisit the budget, or accept external interference in the state’s affairs would resisted.

The protest, which began early in the morning, saw demonstrators converge on Azikiwe Road, brandishing banners and chanting slogans against alleged presidential meddling in Rivers State politics.

They also established a presence at the entrance of the government house, erecting canopies and vowed to remain until their demands were heard.

  2. Enough is enough.
The time as come for the youths to take back what this greedy politicians has stolen from us for years.
    We can’t be intimidated anymore.

  3. If the protesters are not rented, fantastic and terrific but I don’t consent the antics of those who lost the last presidential election – they are trying to make it appears as if Sim Fubara and his team were cudgeled by President Tinubu to agree to whatever terms they agreed on. Are the kids? Enough of this hypocrisy. If this crisis had erupted under the watch of the former president, Muhamadu Buhari who has the anointing to keep aloof, these same failed politicians would have thrown mud on his agbada for not doing something to resolve the issue. The Jews had this same mentality that culminated in the crucifixion of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is unfair and wicked.
