We’ll continue to invest in cutting-edge technology for our military – Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has said that his administration will continue to make investments in cutting-edge defence technology for the Nigerian Military.

Speaking on Friday at the induction of the two new Agusta A-109S Trekker Power Attack Helicopters into the Nigerian Air Force fleet, the president said he will continue to provide the military with the resources needed to flush out terrorists from the nation.

Represented by the vice president, Kashim Shettima, the president said he is confident that the newly deployed helicopters will add value to the fight against insurgents across states in the country.

His words, “We will continue to invest in cutting-edge defence technologies and provide our military with the resources needed to counter both conventional and asymmetric threats.”

“I am overly confident and rightly so that the deployment of these newly acquired platforms will add impetus to the combat power of the Nigerian Air Force in tackling our contemporary security challenges, not only within the shores of our Country but also in the West African sub-region,” Tinubu said.

He also assured that despite the currentt economic situation and budgetary constraints, his administration is focused on ensuring that every sector of the economy receives the attention it deserves.
