Senator Ifeanyi Ubah has vowed to rescue Anambra State from what he described as a “clueless government.”
He made the declaration while fulfilling his pledge of financial donation to the Anambra state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The donation includes a major contribution of 50 million naira from Ubah himself.
Other significant pledges came from prominent supporters, including Princess Esom Nwafor Orizu with N5 million, Prince Emeka Egwuekwe (Apakata Onyi Enugwu-Agidi) with N5 million, Chief Chinedu Okeke (Ekwe Ogidi) with N5 million, Lord Michael Mbanefo with N3 million, Arinze Awogu (Ikemba Front) with N2 million, and Hon. Acobarry Chukwuma with N1 million.
Party officials say Senator Ubah’s financial contributions come at a time when the APC in Anambra needed revitalization.
According to them, before Ubah’s defection to the APC, the party faced challenges related to a lack of reward systems, which led to a decrease in membership and support.
His donation is expected to address these issues and strengthen the party’s operations and appeal in the state.
Beyond his monetary support, Ubah has reportedly been actively involved in various initiatives to bolster the party’s presence.
His efforts include donating Keke Napep to all APC chairmen, providing motorcycles, generators, and branded uniforms, and funding a major colloquium attended by National Working Committee members and the National Chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
Additionally, Ubah is reputed to have organized one of the largest empowerment programs for the people of Anambra South, benefiting both party members and other residents.
Senator Ubah’s intervention has been described as transformative for the APC in Anambra.
Officials say with Ubah’s strong grassroots network and commitment, the APC is poised for increased success and influence in Anambra State’s political landscape.
