President Muhammadu Buhari has met with some Southwest leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Aso Rock on Friday.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the former interim National Chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande, led the delegation to meet with President Buhari. It was gathered that the meeting which held behind closed-door, was attended by the Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari, and the Minister of Youth and Sport, Sunday Dare.
However, this news platform learned that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss some of the issues facing the party. Such as the planned registration of new party members, the postponed national convention of the party, and the state of the party in the Southwest.
Some of the party chieftains present at the meeting are a former governor of Ogun State, Chief Segun Osoba, Prince Tajudeen Olusi, and Dr. Abayomi Finnih. However, the national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, was absent at the meeting.
