The self-acclaimed factional leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Simon Njoku Ekpa, on Saturday, said if Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State is “serious” about ensuring that Nnamdi Kanu is released, he should act decisively off social media.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has been detained by Nigerian authorities since June 2021.
Governor Soludo once met him in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) in Abuja.
Speaking during the campaign kick-off of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) on Saturday, Soludo specifically appealed to the Federal Government to release Kanu unconditionally and immediately.
But reacting to the governor’s plea, Ekpa said the Anambra governor should directly reach out to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Tell @CCSoludo demanding the release of MNK is not on social media. He have the direct contact to Buhari, Malami & all the Fulanis that he represent. If he is serious about it, he knows what to do not coming on social media & shouting like a ram 🐏 like oke ebini
