The Governor of Anambra State, Charles Soludo has thrown a shade at Nicholas Ukachukwu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the November 8, governorship election in the state.
Soludo’s attack comes hours after Ukachukwu failed to answer correctly, questions thrown at him by his host, during an interview on Channels Television on Wednesday night.
The host had asked the APC governorship candidate his thoughts on the proliferation of baby factories and illegal adoptions in Anambra.
However, responding to this, Ukachukwu said that reports peddled on TV and other media platforms are false because nobody has more factories than he does in the state.
His words, “I see things on national television, and very little of what they say is untrue. Nobody has more factories in Anambra State than myself and my family.
“I can’t remember, in recent times, saying there are many new industries springing up in Anambra State.
Speaking further he alleged that insecurity caused by the present administration has impeded the operations and productivity of various factories in the state.
Continuing he said, “As a matter of fact, my own factory is under lock and key because they kidnapped six of my expatriates. I used to have about seventy-seven of them working for me.
“The place is under lock and key. An international company was supposed to bring two production streams to us in the past few years, but we haven’t been able to continue. We locked it down because we couldn’t operate,” Ukachukwu added.
He further accused the governor of failing to adequately fund security agencies and their operatives in order to tackle the growing insecurity in Anambra.
Reacting to the answers given by his opponent over the inquiry made by the TV host, Soludo said it was unfortunate that Ukachukwu flopped during the interview session.
Addressing his supporters at a rally in a blend of Igbo and English, the governor said, “We talked about it then and people thought it was a joke and then last night, who advised him to go on national TV?
“Oh! His enemies are many. They continued to encourage him to go to TV and he went to TV last night, an abomination happened.
“Because the interview was in English, the same English he bagged F9. And when they asked him about baby factory and illegal adoption in Anambra, he left that to talk about other factories…”
Chief Ukachukwu not understanding the question does not mean that he will not perform as Governor if given the opportunity.
What of Soludo that wake all the retired criminals up and gave them uniform in the of Anti tout or ndi aka odo
