Daniel Bwala, an ally of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Wednesday expressed his surprise about the freedom being enjoyed by the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Aisha ‘Binani’ Dahiru.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that after Hudu Yunusa-Ari, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of the Independent National Commission (INEC) illegally declared Binani winner of the Adamawa State governorship election, the female politician gave an acceptance speech.
Reacting to that development, Bwala said the APC candidate should have been charged to court because “her conduct is a threat to the security of the state”.
“I am still surprised that someone who wanted to subvert democracy by giving acceptance speech on a fraud declaration is still not being charged to court. Her conduct is a threat to the security of the state,” Bwala wrote on his verified Twitter handle.
This newspaper reports that the drama surrounding the Adamawa election came to an end on Tuesday when the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) restarted the collation of election results in the state, and Ahmadu Fintiri of the PDP was legally announced as the winner.
