As the 2023 presidential election draws near, Babatunde Fashola, a former Lagos State governor and the current Minister of Works and Housing, has rated Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, presidential flagbearer of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as the best man for the job.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that according to Fashola, Nigerians should not judge the Tinubu-Kashim Shettima ticket based on religion, but by competence. He described the former Lagos State governor as “the most qualified” among all the contestants for the 2023 election.
“My position about religion has been made known on different platforms. I think religion should leave the public space and go back to where it belongs; to the homes and the religious centres,” Fashola said while speaking on Channels TV’s Politics Today on Sunday evening. The programme was monitored by this newspaper.
“I know that the Nigerian prosperity will happen. We just need to be concerned about who drives the vehicle there. I think that Asiwaju is the most qualified. I have worked with him at close quarters and I have seen his determination and drive.”
NO WAY!!!! NIGERIA HAS A BIGGER PROBLEM THAT REQIRE A BETTER SOLUTION THAN
