“Wike has tendencies of an emperor” – Former commissioner reacts to Rivers Assembly crisis [VIDEO]

A former commissioner for employment generation and economic empowerment, Rivers State, Leloonu Nwabubasa, has accused FCT minister Nyesom Wike of having some attributes of an emperor.

Nwabuasa made the allegation while reacting to the recent crisis rocking the Rivers State House of Assembly.

The former commissioner described the current political situation in Rivers as distasteful.

He blamed recent happenings in Rivers on Wike’s highhandedness and desire to control the state despite

“Unfortunately, this is not the kind of news that Rivers State should be exporting at a time like this. We are aware about Wike’s tendencies to work as an emperor,” he said.

“The same Wike who said he was not going to impose on the new governor is doing so. We thought Wike had found peace by installing the man he wanted and believed in. We never saw this coming,” he added.

Politics Nigeria had reported plans by some Wike’s loyalists in the Rivers House of Assembly to impeach Governor Sim Fubara.

The plan, however, failed following a fire outbreak which damaged most parts of the Assembly building on Sunday night.
