The Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) website does not recognise Nyesom Wike, the former Rivers State governor, as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
This is despite the Ikwere-born politician being inaugurated as the 18th FCT minister on August 16, 2023.
Wike, alongside the Minister of State, Mariya Mahmud, officially assumed office on August 21.
However, a routine check of the FCDA website indicates that the website still prominently featured the picture and details of Mohammed Bello as the FCT Minister.
The website’s failure to acknowledge Wike as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory has sparked speculation about the reasons behind the delay.
Sources say it is due to bureaucratic oversight, internal disputes, or potential issues surrounding Wike’s appointment.
