Celebrations of May 1st, International Workers’ Day, are ongoing across various states in Nigeria, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Lagos, and Bayelsa.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the day is recognized globally to honour and celebrate workers’ contributions to the economy and society.
In the FCT, Lagos, Bayelsa, and Jigawa states, workers from various sectors, including civil servants, labor unions, and non-governmental organizations, marked with speeches, music, and colorful displays.
The celebrations were not limited to these states alone, as workers across Nigeria also marked the day with different events and activities.
