A Houston-based sociopolitical organization, the World Igbo Congress (WIC) on Wednesday condemned Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State for his antagonistic piece on Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party for the 2023 election.
POLITICS NIGERIA recalls that in a lengthy article published on Monday, Soludo had said Obi knows that “he can’t and won’t win” the presidential election.
He maintained that Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, was not ready for the presidential race, declaring he was merely playing a game.
But reacting, the WIC indirectly accused Prof. Soludo of siding with the oppressors of South-East people.
WIC has cried out on the latest wanton killings the Buhari govt has unleashed on the people of southeastern Nigeria. Political elicits continue to be willing tools for the destruction of Igboland. Today ‘Igbo solution governor’ has turned his loyalty to Abuja against his voters.

“WIC has cried out on the latest wanton killings the Muhammadu Buhari govt has unleashed on the people of southeastern Nigeria.
“Political elites continue to be willing tools for the destruction of Igboland.
“Today ‘Igbo solution governor’ has turned his loyalty to Abuja against his voters,” the statement on WIC’s official Twitter handle reads.
Freedom is what we want, why keeping him in captive without a legitimate reason or point.
