An Ibadan High Chief, Mogaji Wole Arisekola, has appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to consider his townsmen when choosing ministers.
Arisekola penned an open letter to congratulate President Tinubu on his swearing-in as president of the country and proceeded to make the demand.
The Dublin-based publisher urged the President to pick someone from Ibadanland when allocating ministerial slots for Oyo state.
“In Ibadan, we have a good number of very well-educated, accomplished, and seasoned technocrats who have never been accused of looting any treasury in all offices they have ever served, we also have decent politicians of Ibadan extraction from the APC amongst whom you can make an informed choice,” he said.
Arisekola urged President Tinubu to tackle insecurity and criminality, promote justice and the rule of law while ensuring equitable distribution of appointive positions in the country.
He alleged that his townsmen have been neglected and marginalised in the previous All Progressives Congress cabinet.
