‘Your crimes are beyond apology’ – Sowore fires Buhari

A presidential candidate in the 2019 and 2023 election, Omoyele Sowore, has said President Muhammadu Buhari’s “crimes” against Nigerians cannot be cured by an apology.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that with 40 days left in office, President Buhari last Friday in Abuja asked Nigerians hurt by his policies for a pardon.

He thanked citizens for “tolerating” his eight-year regime.

The Nigerian leader described himself as a lucky and fulfilled politician, having served as military governor of Borno State in 1976, Minister of Petroleum Resources in the same year and one-time Head of State (1983 – 1985).

Responding to the president’s ‘apology’, Sowore said while speaking recently at an Abuja court: “This very terrible regime of Buhari would be leaving, according to him, and he was apologising last week for the crimes he committed against the Nigerian people, my response is that his crimes are beyond apology.”
