The Publisher of Ovation Magazine, Dele Momodu, on Thursday sent tribute to former Osun State Governor and Senator, Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke three years after he died.
Mr Adeleke died of a heart attack on April 23, 2017, in Osogbo, Osun capital at the age of 62.
He served as Governor of Osun between 1992 and 1993 as the first civilian governor in the state. In 2007, Mr Adeleke was elected senator for Osun West. He was again elected in 2015 under the umbrella of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Eying the governorship seat of the state in 2018, he did not have the need to witness the election. His brother took over, completed his tenure and contested. He lost to Gboyega Oyetola.
In his tribute on Thursday, Mr Momodu said: “My Great Egbon ALHAJI ISIAKA ADELEKE former Governor of Osun State; three years ago, you departed this world. Your good deeds can never be forgotten… May your soul continue to Rest in Peace Sir.”
