2023: Again, Chimaroke Nnamani attacks Peter Obi supporters

Enugu East Senator and former Governor of the state, Senator Chimaroke Nnamani on Thursday criticised supporters of Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party for the 2023 election, saying their attitude is “un-Igbo”.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Nnamani had on Tuesday warned against Greek gifts from the “Obidient canvassers” claiming that it would negatively affect the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chances to produce state governors, senators, members of the House of Representatives and state houses of Assembly.

In a statement he personally signed, the lawmaker likened the Obidient movement to the story of the tortoise who borrowed feather from other animals to enable it fly to attend a feast only to appropriate what belongs to everyone to himself alone, claiming to be everybody.

Earlier, last weekend, he also wrote against Peter Obi’s ‘Obidient’ movement.

On Thursday, Nnamani continued his battle with Obi’s supporters. He described them as “dictators” who ‘lack home training’.

“#ObidiEND Dictators who will purse a One party State. With all their inelectability, they are intolerant, abusive and vacuous,” Nnamani wrote on his verified Twitter handle.

“Forcing us to vote for their party. Shutting us out of dialogue! No home training like FS Yusufu and paid Tweeps insulting their fathers and mothers! Un-Igbo.”
