2023: APC’s Shehu Musa dumps party, backs Peter Obi [PICS]

As the 2023 election draws near, a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State, Kamaluddeen Shehu Musa, has left the party.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Musa announced his change in allegiance via a Twitter post recently.

He attributed his decision to resign from the APC to the failure of the party to fulfill its campaign promises, while describing Peter Obi, the presidential flagbearer of the Labour Party for the 2023 election, as “the right candidate”.

“I was an APC registered member.

“I supported the Party because of their manifesto, unfortunately they were not able to fulfil their promises, i.e why I changed my decision to support @Peterobi bcoz I have been it in mind that he is the right candidate,” Musa’s tweet read.

On Thursday, Valentine Ozigbo, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2021 Anambra governorship election, announced his decision to leave the main opposition party and support Obi.

Obi’s camp and supporters will be delighted with these news, especially as their candidate is up against heavyweights, Bola Tinubu (APC), Atiku Abubakar (PDP), and Rabiu Kwankwaso (New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP).
