Ahead of the 2023 general election, Iyorchia Ayu, the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Thursday suffered a gaffe when he said the party has brought shame to Nigeria and should not be allowed in power.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that speaking at the Kano presidential rally of the PDP, Ayu had slip-of-tongue and accused his party, the PDP, of bringing shame to Nigeria. The Benue-born politician quickly corrected himself when party chieftains who shared the stage with him drew his attention to the error. He swiftly said “APC”.

Earlier, Atiku Abubakar, the presidential flag-bearer of the PDP visited Aminu Ado Bayero, the Emir of Kano. The former Vice-President led his team to the Emir’s palace on a courtesy visit ahead of the PDP’s rally in Kano which was well-attended.
He also commissioned the Gwani Muhammadu Dan Gunduwawa Qur’anic College in the state.
The expensive mistake made was interchangeably put for PDP that gave us rice at 8000 per bag as compared to 40000. In other words, APC is the killer government. Eyes have seen and ears have heard that many died, maimed and rendered homeless without penitence. APC, the worse and shameless party Nigeria has ever had.
Apc brought shame to our country but God will see us through
