Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has advised Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, to meet with his opponents, Bola Tinubu (All Progressives Congress, APC); Atiku Abubakar (Peoples Democratic Party, PDP); Rabiu Kwankwaso (New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP); and others, and persuade them to step down for him.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Ortom said this on Wednesday after he received 2023 presidential hopeful, Obi, in Benue state. The duo held a closed-door meeting.
“If God decides that it is him (Obi), nobody can stop him. If God decides that it is somebody else, nobody can also stop him. So, this is a very welcome development,” Ortom, a member of the PDP, said in a video reviewed by this newspaper.
“And I believe even other presidential candidates, of the various political parties, in the PDP, in the APC and NNPP, I believe he should be able to reach out to them to sit down with them, analyse the Nigerian situation, and see if he can convince them to even step down for him, because there is provision if they do that. That can work.
“Let us be seen as putting Nigeria first. So far, I commend his efforts.”
WELL, GOOD ADVICE FROM ORTOM. BECAUSE THINS ARE REALLY BAD IN THE COUNTRY NOW.

THAT UNLESS THEY BORROW MONEY, THEY CAN NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM OF ASUU. HOW HAVE WE
GOTTEN TO THE EXTENT THAT WE CAN NOT PAY SALARIES UNLESS WE BORROW MONEY?
WHAT IS GOOD IN A MYOPIC OPINION AND HOW IS ONE BETTER THAN MULTIPLE OF CHOICES FOR A BETTER OUTCOME?

THE REASONS FOR BAD LEADERSHIP WITH BAD GOVENANCE RELATIVE TO THE AWRY SITUATION OF THE COUNTRY CURRENTLY SHOULD NOT BE FAR FETCHED. WHEN SUPPOSED LEADERS MAKE SPURIOUS STATEMENTS.

Where was governor Ortom with his UNSOLICITED politically motivated admonishment all this while, when all activities geared up for the moment we are witnessing. Some can only full themselves and not all.
Governor Ortom was only just able to enumerate his ulterior motive. Not too smart a politician.
ONE PRESIDENTIAL CONTESTANT SHOULD MEET OTHER CONTENDERS WHO ARE NOT IN THE SAME PARTY WITH HIM. TO PERSUADE THEM TO STEP DOWN FOR HIM.
This must be an output of a DISTURBED soul. Remember, he said he went into hibernation and if this is the result of his sojourn in the spirit world. He should be asked to return for the RIGHT spirit. I mean go for the GOOD spirit because he must have consulted Otokoto instead.
GOVERNOR Ortom WENT INTO THE WORLD OF A MILLION SPIRITS AND THEREFORE COULD NOT DECIPHER THE CORRECT ONE AND JUST SETTLED FOR JUST ANY, PROBABLY.
We need to look out for him and be our brother’s keeper.
