Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State was absent on Tuesday as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders met in Enugu State.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Wike was a presidential aspirant of the PDP. He lost to Nigeria’s former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar.
Aggrieved after the primary election, Wike accused the party of betraying him and breaching its constitution. He subsequently demanded the resignation of the party’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu – a criterion he said must be met before he discusses giving support to Atiku in the 2023 poll.
While Wike, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, and some of the former’s allies were conspicuously absent, Atiku, the PDP presidential candidate, arrived at the Baze Event Centre, Independence Layout Enugu, the venue of the event on Tuesday afternoon.

Some members of the southeast zone’s PDP caucus like Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the governor of Enugu State; former Aviation Minister, Osita Chidoka; the National Vice Chairman, Ali Odefa; Rep Tobi Okechukwu, representing Oji-River Federal Constituency, and members of the Enugu State Assembly, were present.
Also present were prominent PDP stakeholders, including Delta State governor, Ifeanyi Okowa; ex-Senate Presidents, Anyim Pius Anyim and Bukola Saraki; the party’s former spokesperson, Oliseh Metuh; Hyde Onuagulichi, and Senator Uche Ekwunife, amongst others.
If they know whom he is, THEY CANT STAY 5 METERS CLOSE TO HIM. But since they do not know, He will take them into captivity. I love Nyesom Wike for his stance. I will pray to God to give him more courage to destroy PDP and if He does that I will pray to God again to make him one of the 24 Elders in Heaven

I remembered in 2015, wine was the only governor that refuses to defect from PDP. He stood his ground and brought the remaining PDP members together. Atiku , saraki, Orton,and all these people making big noise in PDP today all deserted PDP and moved to APC.
Wike used his power as a governor and brought all PDP members together. But today, wike is seen as a bad man. May God judge PDP. Thank God for the emergence of Obi.
