Former President Obasanjo visits ex-Head of State Ibrahim Babangida in Minna

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has paid a private visit to former Head of State, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, at his Hilltop residence in Minna, Niger state.

Obasanjo was accompanied from the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport in Minna by government house protocol officials.

The former president spent about 30 minutes in a closed-door meeting with Babangida before returning to the airport.

No official statement was issued on the purpose of the visit, but sources said the visit may not be unconnected to national issues or the 2027 general elections.

The visit comes weeks after Obasanjo hosted leaders of opposition political parties in Abeokuta, Ogun state.
