Peter Obi Reacts to Murder of Housewife, Six Children in Kano, Commends Police Action

The chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Peter Obi, has condemned the killing of a housewife and her six children in Kano State.

In a statement posted on his verified X handle on Sunday, Obi described the incident as horrifying and expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy.

“Police swift action is commendable. The horrifying story of the murder of a housewife and her six children remains a deep sorrow in our hearts as a nation,” he said.

“I would like to commend the Nigerian Police for their swift action, and I pray that they extend the same positive results to other areas of crime, such as kidnapping and banditry.

“If we continue to see such decisive actions from our law enforcement agencies, we will undoubtedly witness a significant decline in crime within our communities,” Obi added.

Recall that the Kano State police command, using a strong intelligence network, apprehended three suspected masterminds behind the brutal murder of a housewife and her six children in Dorayi Chiranchi Quarters, Kano, on January 17, 2026.
