2027: Defeating Tinubu Will Be Easier Than 2023 — Yesufu

Prominent activist Aisha Yesufu has expressed optimism that unseating President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election will be easier than it was during the 2023 polls.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Yesufu wrote, “God willing, defeating Tinubu in 2027 will be far easier than it was defeating him in 2023.”

Her comments come amid mounting criticism of the current administration and growing public discontent, which she suggested could further weaken the president’s chances as the next election approaches.

A notable voice during the 2023 elections, Yesufu has remained active in national discourse, frequently commenting on governance, accountability, and citizen participation in Nigeria’s democratic process.

Her remarks follow a similar assertion by a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dele Momodu, who recently said the party has the capacity to unseat Tinubu in 2027.

Momodu stated that the ADC, with political heavyweights such as former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi, could “topple” Tinubu in the next presidential election.
