JUST IN: JOHESU Suspends Nationwide Strike Following FG Conciliation Meeting

The Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) has suspended its nationwide strike, which lasted 84 days.

The union made the decision at the conclusion of its expanded National Executive Council (NEC) emergency meeting held in Abuja on Friday.

The meeting was reportedly convened to review the outcomes of the Federal Government–JOHESU conciliation meeting that took place on Thursday at the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment headquarters.

According to a communique issued after the NEC meeting, JOHESU said the strike has been suspended to allow for the implementation of the Federal Government–JOHESU Terms of Settlement.
