BREAKING: Rotimi Amaechi Joins #OccupyNASS Protest [VIDEO]
Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, on Tuesday arrived at the National Assembly in Abuja to join the ongoing #OccupyNASS protest calling for urgent reforms to Nigeria’s electoral system.
The demonstration, organised by civil society groups and opposition stakeholders, seeks the reinstatement of mandatory electronic transmission of election results from polling units to the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) Result Viewing Portal (IREV).
Amaechi’s arrival at the National Assembly complex added momentum to the protest, which has drawn several high-profile figures and hundreds of citizens demanding transparency and accountability in the lead-up to the 2027 general elections.
