‘Cut APC Into Pieces’ — Galadima Issues Warning Over Worsening Insecurity Ahead of 2027

A senior figure of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Buba Galadima, has warned that growing insecurity and economic hardship could seriously damage the fortunes of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Galadima said Nigerians have shown in the past that they can use their votes to punish any government that fails to protect lives and improve living conditions.

He argued that public anger is building and should not be ignored by those in power.

He made the remarks during an appearance on Politics Today, where he spoke on the state of the nation and the mood of ordinary citizens.

The NNPP chieftain recalled how voters removed former President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015 largely due to security concerns in the North-East.

He said the same political judgment could be passed on the APC if present challenges remain unresolved.

Galadima criticized the ruling party’s policies and rejected claims that life has improved for most Nigerians. He said hunger, unemployment, and fear of attacks are now common realities in many communities.

He also raised concern over what he described as growing intolerance to criticism. According to him, young Nigerians are being arrested and detained simply for expressing their views on radio and in public discussions about national issues.

He cautioned the Federal Government against underestimating the public.

“Now things start small, small. You don’t know how they can blossom and become something else. They shouldn’t play.

“If you can remove Jonathan’s government for a simple insecurity in the Northeast, what would you be doing to the APC government? I think we have to cut them into pieces,” he said.

Galadima added that Nigerians are not gullible and can respond decisively through democratic means if their frustrations continue to grow.
