PHOTOS: Peter Obi, Delta Gov, Others Attend Funeral Mass of Late Senator Nwaoboshi

Former Governor of Anambra State and presidential aspirant, Peter Obi, joined notable Nigerians on Friday, to pay tribute to the late Senator Peter Nwaoboshi at his funeral Mass held at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Ibusa, Delta State.

In a post on his X handle, Obi described Nwaoboshi as a “distinguished Senator” who served Delta North, praying that God “grant him eternal rest in His kingdom” and provide comfort to his family and all mourners.

The funeral Mass was attended by a cross-section of political and community leaders, reflecting the late senator’s impact and service to his constituency.

Some of the notable figures in attendance were Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State, and his Deputy, Sir John Onyeme, as well as former Governors James Ibori and Ifeanyi Okowa, joined serving and former members of the National and State Assemblies, along with other dignitaries, to honour the late senator.
