APC Can’t Secure 20% in Free, Fair Election — PDP Chieftain Speaks on 2027 Polls

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, has alleged that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is aware that the All Progressives Congress (APC) cannot secure up to 20 per cent of the vote in a free and fair 2027 election.

Olawepo-Hashim made the remarks during an interview, speaking on the 2027 general elections. He argued that the ruling APC is grappling with deeper internal challenges than the opposition PDP.

“If the opposition is dead and buried as they claimed, why then are they afraid of the next year’s general elections?” he asked.

He further stated, “All the internet or data boys praise President Tinubu as a strategist. He has done the polls, and he knows that in a free and fair election today, the APC cannot score 20 per cent of the vote.

“Even within the APC, there are individuals ready to undermine the party. I can tell you they have more internal issues than the PDP,” he said.
