BREAKING: EFCC Moves to Take Over Malami’s Abuja Residence, Seals Off Area [PHOTOS]

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday moved to take over the Maitama residence of former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, in Abuja.

The operatives, reportedly led by Folarin Dare, arrived in about five buses and, clad in their signature red and black jackets, were heavily armed as they barricaded the road leading to the residence.

Attempts to gain access to the property, located at No. 2 Koranakh Close, off Amazon Street in Maitama, were unsuccessful as the area was sealed off by the officials.

The development is believed to be linked to an ongoing investigation into alleged financial improprieties.
