Ex-Commissioner Hamza Hails Gov Sani’s Leadership Style After Resignation

Governor Uba Sani has been described as a servant-leader whose mentorship has strengthened the governance capacity of appointees who have served in the Kaduna State Government over the past two and a half years.
In a statement issued on Monday, the immediate past Commissioner for Public Works and Infrastructure, Ibrahim Hamza, expressed deep appreciation for the opportunity to serve under the governor.
Hamza said his decision to resign was driven by his intention to pursue a new path of service through an elective position at the national level, noting that the move was carefully considered.
He described his time in the Kaduna State Government under Governor Sani as akin to undergoing “a school of leadership training and service delivery.”
Identifying himself as a mentee of the governor, Hamza pledged to apply and promote the values and practical governance models he acquired during his tenure in any future role.
He further stated that Governor Sani provided him with the freedom to perform effectively as a member of the State Executive Council, adding that he was recognised as one of the top-performing commissioners in 2024 and 2025.
According to him, it was both an honour and a privilege to be part of the governor’s team, noting that Sani’s vision, dedication and commitment to the development of Kaduna State served as a constant source of inspiration.
Hamza also appreciated his colleagues in the Executive Council for their cooperation and shared dedication to public service, saying the experiences and relationships built during his time in office would remain invaluable.
