JUST IN: APC Chairman, Kano Governor Meet Bauchi Governor Amid Defection Talks

The Bauchi State Government House became a center of intense political activity on Wednesday as high-ranking leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held a private consultative meeting with Governor Bala Mohammed.

The APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, led the delegation alongside the Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf.

While the official reason for the visit was framed as a courtesy call, the presence of these two specific leaders has fueled widespread speculation regarding a major political realignment in the North.

Governor Bala Mohammed, who is currently the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, received the visitors in a closed-door session that lasted several hours.

Insiders suggest the discussions were centered on “defection talks” as the ruling APC intensifies its efforts to expand its influence across the North-East ahead of next year’s election.

More details of the meeting to follow…
