BREAKING: Many Feared Trapped as Hotel Under Construction Collapses in Abuja

Several persons are feared trapped after a hotel building, identified as Ugo West Hotel and still under construction, collapsed in the Jikwoyi area of Abuja on Friday.

The incident triggered panic in the community, as residents and passersby rushed to the scene to assist in rescue efforts.

Eyewitnesses said the structure suddenly gave way, trapping workers and other occupants beneath the rubble.

As of the time of filing this report, the number of those trapped or injured remains unknown, while emergency responders are yet to arrive at the scene.

Local volunteers have begun rescue attempts, clearing debris in a desperate effort to reach those feared trapped.

Authorities have not issued an official statement on the cause of the collapse.
