BREAKING: Gov Abiodun Declares Sen Yayi as His Successor for Ogun 2027 [VIDEO]

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has officially endorsed Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, as the person to take over the mantle of leadership in 2027.

The Governor made this major declaration during a high-profile gathering of the All Progressives Congress (call) Caucus, effectively ending months of speculation regarding his preferred successor.

Addressing the party faithful and top stakeholders, the Governor spoke with conviction about the need for a seamless transition and a candidate with the requisite experience to move the state forward.

He made it clear that after extensive consultations within the party hierarchy, the choice of Senator Adeola was reached to maintain unity and strength.

Abiodun emphasized that the decision was aimed at consolidating the gains of the “Building Our Future Together” agenda, suggesting that Yayi possesses the local and national influence needed to keep Ogun State on its current developmental trajectory.

Senator Solomon Adeola, a veteran lawmaker who previously represented Lagos West before shifting his political base to his home state of Ogun, has been a dominant figure in the state’s political landscape.

His endorsement by the incumbent Governor is seen as a major blow to other aspirants within the APC who were eyeing the top seat in Alagbaka.

The Governor’s announcement has effectively cleared the air and provided a clear direction for the Ogun State APC.

Abiodun urged members to rally behind the Senator, stressing that the party must remain a formidable and united front to ensure victory in the coming years.
