ADC Aspirant Amaechi Reveals Why He Dumped PDP, APC

Former Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, has explained the reasons behind his exit from both the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Amaechi, now a leading presidential aspirant under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), spoke during an interview on Friday.

He alleged that former President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Patience Jonathan, forced him out of the PDP by taking control of the party structure in Rivers State.

According to him, a similar situation occurred in the APC after he contested the party’s presidential primary against President Bola Tinubu.

Explaining his political journey, Amaechi said he was effectively pushed out of both parties.

“I was chased out of PDP, APC by the then president,” he said.

“The president and his wife took over the party structure in Rivers State and chased me out. The same thing happened in APC.”
