JUST IN: APC extends sale of 2027 election forms as politicians jostle for ruling party’s tickets

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended the timelines for the sale and submission of expression of interest and nomination forms for the 2027 general elections.

The decision was approved by the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) at a meeting held at its national secretariat in Abuja.

The party’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Durosinmi Meseko, announced the extension while briefing journalists after the meeting.

He said the sale of forms will now close at midnight on May 4, 2026, adding that the submission of completed forms and accompanying documents has been extended to midnight on May 5, 2026.

The party had earlier fixed May 2, 2026, as the deadline for the sale of forms, while submission was scheduled to end on May 4, 2026.

Meseko said the extension was necessitated by the public holiday observed nationwide and the high level of interest from aspirants, noting that the adjustment would allow more aspirants to complete the process.
