Former Chief of Army Staff’s son buys APC nomination form for Borno Assembly seat

Muhammad Tukur Buratai, son of Lt-Gen Tukur Buratai (rtd), former Chief of Army Staff, has purchased the All Progressives Congress (APC) nomination form to contest for a seat in the Borno State House of Assembly.

Buratai is seeking to represent Biu constituency in the state assembly ahead of the forthcoming 2927 elections.

The purchase of the APC nomination form marks his formal entry into partisan politics in the north east state.

The aspirant recently met with his father to seek his blessing ahead of the contest.

Lt-Gen Tukur Buratai, an APC chieftain, holds the record of the longest serving Chief of Army Staff in Nigeria.
