JUST IN: INEC begins online accreditation for 4 senatorial bye-elections, two others
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced online accreditation for media organisations interested in covering six bye-elections scheduled for June 20, 2026, is ongoing.
In a notice posted on its X handle on Thursday, the commission listed the affected elections as the Dawaki Kudu/Warawa federal constituency bye-election in Kano state and the Zuru state constituency bye-election in Kebbi state.
INEC also listed the Ondo south senatorial district bye-election in Ondo state, Rivers south-east senatorial district bye-election in Rivers state, Nasarawa north senatorial district bye-election in Nasarawa state, and Enugu north senatorial district bye-election in Enugu state.
The commission asked interested media organisations to complete the accreditation process within the stipulated timeframe.
“Applicants are advised to complete their accreditation within the stipulated period as late applications will NOT be entertained,” the commission said.
INEC directed applicants to complete the process through its dedicated portal.
