JUST IN: Court Dismisses Suit Challenging INEC’s Refusal to Register ADA as Party

The Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed a suit challenging the refusal of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to register the All Democratic Alliance (ADA), ruling that the case lacked merit.

The suit was filed to compel INEC to recognise and register the political association as a party.

However, in its judgment, the court held that the applicants failed to establish sufficient grounds to warrant granting the reliefs sought.

Consequently, the court dismissed the case in its entirety for lacking merit.
