2027 : No Automatic Ticket For Any Aspirant In Abia APC — Benjamin Kalu

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has dismissed speculations surrounding the emergence of automatic tickets for aspirants seeking elective positions under the platform of the All Progressives Congress in Abia State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Kalu made the clarification during a pre-primary stakeholders meeting of the APC held in Umuahia.

Addressing party leaders, members and aspirants, the Deputy Speaker stated that all aspirants interested in contesting for any elective office on the platform of the APC must participate in a transparent and credible primary election process.

He emphasized that the party leadership would not impose candidates or grant automatic tickets to any individual, insisting that the wishes of party members must prevail through a democratic process.
