Peter Obi mourns as Datti Baba-Ahmed loses brother

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, has condoled with his former running mate, Dr. Datti Baba-Ahmed, over the passing of his brother, Jallul Baba-Ahmed.

In a condolence message, Obi described the death as sudden and shocking.

Expressing deep sadness, he prayed for the repose of the deceased’s soul.

Obi wrote on X, “My dear Brother, Dr. Datti Baba-Ahmed, I am deeply shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of your beloved brother, Jallul Baba-Ahmed, yesterday. My heart goes out to you and your entire family.

“Please accept my heartfelt condolences. I pray Almighty Allah grants him eternal rest in Al-Jannah Firdaus and gives you and your family the patience and strength to bear this painful loss.”

While details of Jallul’s passing are yet to be made public, the former Anambra State governor said he stands with Baba-Ahmed and the entire family during this difficult time.
