2027: Yahaya Bello Wins APC Primary for Kogi Central Senatorial Seat

Immediate past Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Kogi Central Senatorial seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The primary election, held on Monday, featured two other contenders, APC Diaspora Secretary, Momoh Obaro, and Ibrahim Yakubu Adoke.

Bello’s victory comes amid days of political tension and speculation within party circles over reports that his screening process may have faced challenges, raising uncertainty about his eligibility to participate in the contest.
