JUST IN: Pantami Pulls Out of APC Gombe Governorship Primaries

Isa Pantami has withdrawn from the All Progressives Congress governorship primaries in Gombe State.

Pantami announced his decision on Tuesday in a statement released by Barrister Ibrahim M. Attahir on behalf of the Pantamiyya Movement.

According to the statement, the former minister said his withdrawal was due to alleged breaches of the Electoral Act 2026.

He also accused the APC leadership of failing to provide the necessary information required to ensure a transparent and credible governorship primary in Gombe State.

The statement further revealed that letters sent by his legal representatives to party officials regarding concerns about the process were neither acknowledged nor responded to.

β€œIn a democracy, the law must guide the process. Non-compliance with the Electoral Act 2026 and the party guidelines renders the exercise unsafe and illegitimate,” the statement read.
