BREAKING: ADC Announces Winner of Kaduna State Governorship Primary

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced the winner of its gubernatorial primary election in Kaduna State.

Isa Ashiru, who recently defected to the opposition coalition party from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), announced his victory in a post on X:

ALHAMDULILLAH! I have just been declared the winner of the ADC Gubernatorial Primary Election for Kaduna State.
My deepest thanks to the National, State, and Ward leadership of ADC, our committed grassroots supporters.
Together, we will deliver purposeful leadership Insha Allah!

Recall that Ashiru polled 719,196 votes to finish as the first runner-up in the 2023 general election. He lost by a narrow margin to the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Uba Sani, who won the election with 730,002 votes.
