Tinubu, Atiku Observe Eid Prayers in Lagos, Abuja [PHOTOS]
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday joined Muslim faithful to observe Eid prayers at Dodan Barracks in Lagos.
He was accompanied by top government officials and political figures, including his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; former Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola; Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa; Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat, as well as other Muslim faithful.
The event was confirmed in a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) by the President’s Special Assistant on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, who wrote that Tinubu observed the Eid Mubarak prayers alongside party leaders and other worshippers at the military facility.
Meanwhile, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar also joined Muslim faithful at the AYA Mosque in Abuja for Eid prayers.
In a post shared on his social media handle, Atiku said he attended the prayers in gratitude to Allah for His blessings.
“I joined fellow Muslims this morning at the AYA Mosque in Abuja to observe the Eid prayers in gratitude to Allah for His countless blessings,” he wrote.
The former presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party also called for unity, compassion, and peace among Nigerians during the festive period.
“As we celebrate this sacred occasion, may the spirit of Eid strengthen our bonds of unity, compassion, sacrifice, and peace as one people and one nation,” Atiku stated.
He further extended Eid greetings to Muslims in Nigeria and across the world, praying for peace and prosperity for the country.
