BREAKING: Peter Obi Emerges NDC 2027 Presidential Candidate

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has adopted former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, as its flagbearer for the 2027 general elections.

The ratification followed the party’s nationwide primary elections held on Saturday, during which Obi emerged as the sole aspirant for the presidential ticket.

The event attracted key party figures, including former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, National Leader Seriake Dickson, National Chairman Senator Cleopas Zuwoghe, as well as party members and supporters from across the country.

At the gathering, the party’s presidential flag was officially handed over to Obi, who is expected to lead the NDC’s campaign in the 2027 election.

Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) were also present to observe the process, in line with the provisions of the Electoral Act.
